"Annabcn launches onto design scene with a new philosophy and hands-on approach: 'anna plays, anna constructs'. Pearls from Tahiti and Mediterranean coral are combined with basic materials, creating unique, valuable and unostentatious, jewellery; jewellery that can be used and appreciated in an everyday context. Her approach to wearing pearls (see above) is truly innovative: she renders them cutting-edge, alternative fashion necessities. The quirky, colourful collection 'Fruits of the Sea', suggests that Anna does not take herself too seriously; her jewellery captures the same sense of freedom and rebellion."

Anna González – Finalist in the contest for the JORGC institutional trophy

Anna González (annabcn designer) was a finalist in the contest announced on March 2006 by the Catalan professional association of jewelers, gold and silversmiths, watchmakers and gemologists (JORGC). The winners of this contest were the couple Alejandra Soler and Ernest Perera.

“Among the finalist, were remarkable the avant-garde forms of Enric Majoral, the minimalist sense of Toni Fuentes, the abstract sight of Manel Capdevila, the functional work presented by the pair Estela Guitart and Mónica Gaspar and the atypical plastic and composition of Anna González.”

Anna González – Finalist in the contest for the JORGC institutional trophy

Anna designed a project integrating the different positions represented in the association (jewelers, gold and silversmiths, watchmakers and gemologists) in a whole. It was a search for the beauty from the premise “united we stand “, an equilibrated union of the representative different elements.
